Classes

Pre school Curriculum
Our pre schoolers have the choice of jazz, classical and tap.
We follow the RAD dance to your own tune ballet classes. Basic jazz moves and stretching are taught in jazz. Tap is made up of basic tap moves and finding the beat of the music.
These classes are a lively way to introduce your child to the world of dance.

Tap
At EPDA we follow the LGTDA tap syllabus. Exams are held in July. We then do concert work for the second half of the year. Even if your child doesn’t wish to sit the exam,it is important to still take the classes, as this is where steps, combinations and technique are taught, which will then be incorporated into the concert dances.

Jazz
Here your child will work on their flexibility, control and fitness. Jazz is a fun style of dance performed to up to date music. Children often interpret the moves in their own individual way.

Classical
We follow the RAD ballet syllabus. This is a world wide ballet syllabus that is highly recognised. Children progress through the grades from year to year, strengthening their technique and love of ballet.

Lyrical and Contemporary
This is a free flowing style of dance with more interpretive meanings to the routines. This style utilises the lyrics of the song rather than the beat of the music. It also allows a greater range of body movement than your regular ballet class.
Please note that you need to do Classical to participate in these classes.

Acrobatics
This fun class combines stretching, floor work, tumbling and partner work. It is a lot of fun and students perform in the end of year concert. Children are taught how to do tricks correctly. Proper equipment is supplied.

Private Lessons
Private tuition is available for students wanting to perform solo routines in Eisteddfods. It is important to practise at home if you are wanting to do this.
Private tuition is also available for extra exam practise.

Adult Tap
We our proud to offer an Advanced tap class for the over 18s
This class pushes them to the limit, with corner work, wings, pick ups and turns. There is also the option to perform in the end of year concert

Mums and Bubs / Carer and Bubs
